Crossroads Expands Nature by Appointment Program

Crossroads at Big Creek is continuing its Nature by Appointment program Tuesdays – Saturdays, with time slots at 9, 10 and 11 am. Safer at Home units, individuals or small groups of friends – wearing face masks and practicing social distancing – may participate in a 45-minute, private outdoor nature program with a naturalist.

Crossroads is also adding a tour of the bird and butterfly garden that’s open to all and can accommodate people using walkers, wheelchairs or other mobility-assist devices. A transfer chair is available.

To make an appointment, email [email protected], using “Nature by Appointment” as the subject line. List the names of participants (and the ages of children), the times when you’re available and the program topic of your choice: the Forest Trail tour, water critters for kids, planet walk for kids, or a tour of bird and butterfly garden.

Volunteers are needed July 31, 7-9 am; and Aug. 4, 6-8 pm, to work on the Begin with the Creek ecological restoration project. Volunteers are asked to adhere to social-distancing rules and supply their own water, sunscreen and boots.
