Crossroads at Big Creek’s programming this week is focusing on water and the sky.
The awe-inspiring Wisconsin Public Television documentary Wisconsin Water from the Air will be screened Nov. 1, 3:30 pm, in the Collins Learning Center. It lasts about an hour as it follows the amazing waterways that form the state’s boundaries and reveals the Ice Age glaciers’ footprints.
The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will meet on Nov. 5, 7 pm, at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center. Meeting topics include “Mastering Mounts” and “Backyard Observatory.” The gathering is open to the public; refreshments will be served.
The UW-Oshkosh Environmental Research and Innovation Center will host a well-monitoring program forum Nov. 6, 6 pm, as it works to build a database of groundwater quality in Door County. The deadline for sampling has passed, but the forum in the Collins Learning Center’s lecture hall is open to all.
