Crossroads of Door County Hosts Various Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout July.
July 24 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm the Crossroads will feature “Walking Sticks” and “Father Tony’s Famous Chickens” in the Historical Village.
During the event, Carl Scholz will speak of the importance of walking. He will also demonstrate the use of walking sticks and explain how they are made. Father Tony Birdsall will exhibit his famous chickens. The event is free; apple pie will be available for purchase.
July 25 at 1:30 pm “School Days in 1900” will take place in the Vignes School in the Historical Village. Attendees will enjoy daily lessons such as reading, writing, arithmetic, history, science, and music in a rural schoolhouse.
July 26 at 1:30 pm the Crossroads will host “Family Program: Butterflies Everywhere.” Participants will hike to find butterflies, their caterpillars and the plants they love to eat.
