Crossroads Preserves Are Open to Public

The trails of Crossroads at Big Creek’s three preserves are always open without charge. On Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays, from 1 to 3:30 pm (if snow conditions permit), Friends of Crossroads and Door County Silent Sports Alliance lend ski and snowshoe equipment free of charge. Winter recreation equipment is distributed from the Maintenance Building just east of the Michigan Street Parking Lot.

Outdoor enthusiasts should dress for the weather. When in doubt about the weather and trail conditions, check crossroadsatbigcreek.org.

Trails at the Big Creek, Cove, and Ida Bay preserves always are open. The Collins Learning Center is open 2 – 4 pm daily, except on President’s Day, but the business office will be closed until Feb. 22. The Collins Learning Center is located at 2041 Michigan Street just east of the roundabout in Sturgeon Bay.
