Crossroads Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout September.

September 16 at 10 am, Crossroads volunteers will host a “Buckthorn Party” in ongoing efforts at buckthorn eradication. No experience is needed. Participants are encouraged to wear long clothes that may be stained. (The event will be canceled if raining).

September 18 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, Sunday in The Village will feature “Blacksmiths and Kids Day in the Heritage Garden.” Costumed members of the Historical Society will offer tours and the blacksmiths will be working at the forge. Children will have the opportunity to pull (and sample) carrots, dig potatoes, pick beans, and help clean vegetables to be donated to Feed My People and Lakeshore CAP. The Historical Society will be selling caramel apples during the event.
