Crossroads to Honor Aldo Leopold on March 6

Crossroads at Big Creek (crossroadsatbigcreek.org), 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, will celebrate Aldo Leopold Day on March 6, 9:30 am until dark, with a free event called A Walk with Aldo. Start at the West Trailhead, and follow a half-mile trail marked with green ribbons to find 12 posts displaying quotes from Aldo Leopold. Participants should walk alone or in safe units and practice social distancing. Sturdy shoes are recommended because the trails may be wet and/or slippery.

Crossroads also offers Ski for Free on the weekends, weather permitting. 

The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society (DPAS) will hold a virtual meeting March 9, 7 pm, with a presentation by John Beck titled “Meteors, Comets and Asteroids.” He’ll review what we already know and broaden our knowledge of these objects and phenomena.
