Cultural and Artistic Programs Offered Abroad

The Linden Gallery and Barnsite Gallery recently announced two new all-inclusive programs at the Linden Centre in Southwest China.

The offerings include a plein air painting tour and a textile tour of this region of China. From October 7 – 28 “Painting South of the Clouds – a plein air tour of Yunnan with stays in Tibetan Shangrila” will be offered, and November 4 – 20 will highlight “Woven Tales – a textile tour of China’s southwest tribal groups.” The textile program will build on the textile exhibition on display at the Peninsula Art School in Fish Creek from August through September.

In addition to these two courses, three cultural immersion programs combining tourism and theme-based activities, as well as one photography tour will take place from late November through early February at the Linden Centre.

All programs will include extended stays in the Lindens’ upscale cultural retreat in the southeast Himalayas. This unprecedented restoration project has garnered attention from media and cultural groups from around the world. Come be a part of it!
