The Door County Folk Festival (DCFF) will be held in various Door County venues from July 6 – 10. The festival’s staff will include dance leaders, teachers, callers, and singers from the Midwest and beyond.
Singing workshops, group dinners, youth activities, and dance workshops featuring a variety of dance types, including folk, contra, square, bhangra and more, will be conducted throughout the event.
Ethnic Folk Dances will take place each night. Sister Bay will host dance parties Wednesday through Sunday at 8:30 pm at the Sister Bay Village Hall. The Ephraim Village Hall will host dance parties Friday and Saturday at 8:30 pm.
The event will also feature a Door County Fish Boil Dinner on Saturday, followed by music, dancing and singing in Sister Bay Waterfront Park.
The DCFF will also offer activities for youth in creativity and experiential workshops facilitated by Miriam and Dick Miller on Friday and Saturday at 10 am and 1:15 pm in Sister Bay Waterfront Park.
The Northern Door YMCA Day Campers will participate in a special dance and creativity workshop on Wednesday and perform what they have learned to Northern Door seniors.
