DCA Starts Winter Season with “Gratitude Revealed”

Door Community Auditorium (DCA) is kicking off its 2023 winter season with a free screening of Gratitude Revealed – a film by Louis Schwartzberg, the director of Fantastic Fungi – on Jan. 7, 7 pm.

Schwartzberg has dedicated his life to making films that celebrate life and the human spirit. His parents, who were both Holocaust survivors, appreciated the little things in life and the blessing of having children, so his upbringing taught him the importance of living a daily life full of gratitude.

Leading up to the event, DCA invites community members to share reflections on gratitude, and DCA staff will share them with the audience at the event and with the community afterward. Before the movie begins, retired minister Phil Sweet will deliver a reflection on gratitude, and Beth Coleman will perform a piano piece.
