DCAL Announces Artists of the Week

The Gallery of the Door County Art League (DCAL), located at the Top of the Hill Shop in Fish Creek, has invited the public to enjoy the creative talents of 35 regional artists.

Award-winning artist Sally Berner, DCAL featured artist of the week, has been an oil painter for over 25 years in the realist tradition. Her passion is wildlife paintings, including domestic animals and household pets, especially dogs.

“Door County provides a wealth of beautiful scenery and farm animals that beg to be painted in all four glorious seasons,” said Berner. Her work is also featured at the Paint Box Gallery and at the Miller Art Museum’s Wildlife Biennial.

The gallery will also display Jean Austad’s pastels for the week. Austad’s work encourages the viewer to see the beauty in Door County.

Additionally, in late August and September, David and Jeanne Aurelius, Clay Bay Pottery owners, are the celebrated DCAL Master Artists on display in the gallery.
