DCAL Artists of the Week

Door County Art League’s Artists of the Week for June 19 include Susan Hitchler and Elizabth Van de Ven. The artists will exhibit work at the Gallery of the Door County Art League in Fish Creek.

After 10 years of placing children for adoption and running a business, Hitchler was introduced to jewelry design. She has been designing and making jewelry for the past eight years.

A native of Sturgeon Bay, Van de Ven works in a variety of artistic mediums including painting, sculpture, carving, and paper mache. She has won numerous awards for her work, and also enjoys poetry and photography.

The Gallery of the Door County Art League, open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, is located at the Top of the Hill Shops, Highway 42 and County F, in Fish Creek. For more information call 920.868.2288.
