“To Market, to Market,” by Barb Timmerman is just one of the 23 artists exhibiting at the DCAL Gallery in the “Flash Mob of Art.”
The Door County Art League (DCAL) Gallery will hold a “Flash Mob of Art” now through October 12. The artists are pulling out all the stops and hanging as much work as the gallery can hold in celebration of the end of the 2013 season-long exhibit at the DCAL gallery.
“With the most popular weekends of the year in Door County upon us, the idea of a flash mob of art came to me. I thought, ‘We have flash weekends of visitors to the Door, why not have a flash mob with art,’” explains Gale Ritchey, director of the DCAL Gallery. “We’ll have art for gifts, for trip memory keepsakes to adorn that favorite place at home, and lovely pieces to add to collections,” Ritchey adds.
Many of the artists exhibiting are avid lovers of the seasons and show a variety of works depicting the changing weather scenes.
The DCAL Gallery is in the rear courtyard of the Top of the Hill Shops, located at Highway 42 and County F, Fish Creek. Hours are 11 am – 5 pm daily and 11 am – 3 pm Sunday through mid-October. The gallery is closed on Wednesday. For more information call 920.868.2288 or visit doorcountyartleague.org.
