DCAL Monthly Meeting Covers Framing Artwork

On Monday, August 24, 7 pm, owners of Cottage Row Framing and Gallery in Fish Creek will give a presentation at the Door County Art League monthly meeting at the Gibraltar Fire Department meeting room, 3496 County Road F in Fish Creek. Guests are welcome as Myron and Anne Rogers discuss the design and construction of custom frames for flat artworks in most mediums and offer suggestions for minimizing framing costs for artists.

Myron was a portrait photographer for more than 20 years and did custom framing as an addition to his photographic services. His wife Anne is a watercolorist. Myron’s college degree is in agriculture. He worked on several cattle ranches in Alberta and in agribusiness in Wisconsin. He also worked as a park ranger and for a short time as a conservation warden.

Both Myron and Anne Rogers say they enjoy the availability of a vast selection of framing materials and are inspired by the many wonderful artists for whom they do work.

Door County Art League membership is open to artists and all other persons interested in and supportive of the visual arts in Door County. Since their first season, the league has offered a variety of programs to members and guests wishing to enrich their lives through the knowledge, use, and enjoyment of art.
