The Fairland Bluegrass Band will perform as the fourth concert in the Door Community Auditorium’s Fireside Coffeehouse Concert Series on Feb. 19, at 7 pm. Their performance has been moved from the fireside lobby to the main stage.
Based out of Sturgeon Bay, the Fairland Bluegrass Band is truly a family affair, as the group consists of parents Danny (mandolin) and Teri Rass (bass), daughter Calyn (banjo) and her husband Neil Saindon (guitar), and daughter Hana Grace (fiddle). All five family members are talented vocalists, as well as instrumentalists.
The Fairland Bluegrass Band takes pride in the fact that their shows are bursting with classic and original Bluegrass songs as well as good, clean, family fun.
“Bluegrass music is not just a genre, it’s a true American art form,” says Danny.
The Fireside Coffeehouse Concerts are held at the Door Community Auditorium, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The series is sponsored by The Cordon Family Foundation. Ecology Sports Base Camp will provide refreshments for purchase. Tickets are sold as general admission at $14.
