DCHM is Searching for Prohibition Era Items

Did you know that Door County had its own Rum Runners apprehended by the U.S. Coast Guard?

On July 28, the Door County Historical Museum in cooperation with the Door County Archives, will display items relating to the Prohibition Era from the museum and archive collections.

The present collection is very limited so the museum hopes visitors will bring in historically relevant items from their homes, to donate or to loan for the day. Related photos and stories are also requested. Photos can be scanned and returned.

Call the museum at 920.743.5809 to make arrangements to bring in items before July 28, if possible.
