DCHS Holds Annual Rummage Sale

It’s time once again for the Door County Humane Society’s Annual Rummage Sale. The community can take part in the annual sale by donating gently used items or scoring some great bargains. Drop-off for items is April 27, 5 – 8 pm, and April 28, 9 am – 5 pm, at the Jaycee Clubhouse located at 340 Jaycee Court, Sturgeon Bay. Items should be new or gently used and clean. No appliances, clothing or large furniture will be accepted. The Jaycee Clubhouse doors will open for early bird shopping April 28, 12 – 6 pm. A $5 donation to DCHS is requested at the door on Friday. The sale will continue April 29, 7:30 am – 2 pm. Bargain shoppers are welcome to take advantage of Saturday’s Everything Must Go sale from 12 to 2 pm; $5 buys you a bag, and you can fill it with as much as you want.

DCHS will also hold a bake sale on April 29 during the event. “We are putting out a plea to all of the great bakers in Door County to please consider making a pan or batch of your most famous treats and donating them to the DCHS Bake Sale…To make things as simple as possible please do not drop off baked goods in dishware that you would like returned instead please place baked goods in disposable dishware,” explained April Delfosse, DCHS communications and development coordinator.
