DCMC Partners with Community Blood Center

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) and the Community Blood Center (CBC) held a May 14 cookie-cutting event and kickoff blood drive to celebrate their ongoing partnership. CBC has been the sole provider of blood and blood products to DCMC since fall 2018.

A cookie cutting, in place of a ribbon cutting, marked the first day of blood donations by DCMC, when employees volunteered their time to give the gift of life.“We are honored to partner with Door County Medical Center and the entire Door County community,” said Kristine Belanger, vice president of donor services at CBC. “A strong and stable blood supply is important for the hospitals we serve and is a responsibility we take seriously. We look forward to hosting more community blood drives throughout Door County in support of the patients in our local hospitals, including those at Door County Medical Center.”
