DCMC to Participate in Pause to Give Life

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) is among the 80-plus Donate Life Wisconsin members and partners that will participate in the 2019 Pause to Give Life event: simultaneous, statewide ceremonies during which the Donate Life flag will be raised and silence will be observed to promote organ, tissue and eye donation and to honor donors and their families. Donate Life Wisconsin created Pause to Give Life as an annual, statewide observance to mark the start of National Donate Life Month. The ceremony will be held at DCMC on April 1, 10 am. It will begin with the flag raising, and a period of silence lasting one minute and 14 seconds will follow, representing the nearly 114,000 patients who are awaiting a life-saving transplant. All are invited to a cookie reception in DCMC’s main lobby following the observance.
