DCMCA Conducted Tours for Over 312 Participants

This April, the Door County Medical Center Auxiliary (DCMCA) conducted hospital tours for local first graders. More than 312 students, teachers and chaperones from seven area schools had an opportunity to learn about the hospital. The annual event is intended to not only make the students aware of what the hospital does but to lessen the anxieties of going to the hospital. The tours included visits to the ER/Lab, Surgical, Radiology, Ambulance, Dietary and Ortho/Rehab areas. One of the highlights of the tour was watching Dr. Dan Tomaszewski put a cast on Dawn Johnson.
