The sound of music returns to the waterfront at the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay on Sunday, June 28, with the first of six concerts in an annual series. The Concert Series is presented by the Museum’s Maritime Friends group.
The series continues through July 26, and in addition to the regular Sunday evening concerts, another has been added on Wednesday evening, July 22.
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, a neighbor or friend and sit back and enjoy the sounds of musicians from the area at these free concerts. All concerts begin at 7 pm, and in the event of inclement weather will be moved to nearby Bay View Lutheran Church, 340 W. Maple Street, Sturgeon Bay.The Maritime Friends will be serving old-fashioned ice cream treats at old-fashioned prices during the outdoor concerts. The 2009 DCMM Summer Concert Schedule includes: June 28, Peninsula Community Band; July 5, The Martinis; July 12, Lost Mothra; July 19, Big Mouth; July 22, The Nicks; and July 26, Mike Raye & The Works.
