DCS&PS Continues Seminar Series with Basic Weather & Forecasting

The Door County Sail and Power Squadron will hold the second of six summer seminars, Basic Weather & Forecasting, on June 29. This seminar is a must for boaters who have never taken a weather course. Learn how to recognize early signs of approaching weather and how to anticipate storms, squalls, fog, and wind shifts. Understand how a barometer works and feel comfortable using one to predict the weather. Familiarize yourself with basic weather elements to understand how they will affect your boating experience and much more.

Seminars are held from 9 – 11 am at Skipper Buds Quarterdeck Marina in Sturgeon Bay. This year’s series will include student materials and Captain’s QuickGuides. Fees for all seminars (except Anchoring) are $25/USPS members and $35/non-members.

For more information or to register call Squadron Educational Officer, Steve Rank at 920.743.5469 or Eve Gains at 920.746.8200.
