DCS&PS Offers GPS Seminar

The Door County Sail & Power Squadron is offering a GPS seminar at SkipperBud’s Quarter Deck Marina on Aug. 11 from 9 – 11 am.

GPS has become a common tool for navigation; however, using GPS on the water is distinctly different from a moving map display in a car. This seminar will explain the principles of waypoint navigation. It will also instruct participants how to relate the GPS to charts detailing all the essential information of what is around the water.
