DCU Girls Swimmers Win at New London

The Door County United girls cooperative high school swim team placed first in every varsity event Thursday when DCU won its dual meet at New London, 123-47.

Every DCU varsity swimmer scored points for the team overall, with Cassie Rankin of Sevastopol, Danica Neville of Southern Door and Julia Michalski of Sturgeon Bay finishing first in all of their individual events.

Rotary Youth Exchange student Aurora Breci, who is attending Sevastopol, scored 10 varsity points for both her individual events and relay participation, while freshman swimmer Emily Miller of Sturgeon Bay scored five varsity points overall.

Up next for DCU is a dual meet against the Pulaski Red Raiders at the Door County YMCA on Sept. 7 at 6 pm.
