DCU Girls Swimmers Win Shoreline Invite

The Door County United (DCU) cooperative girls swimming team won Saturday’s Shoreline Invitational at Sheboygan North High School.

DCU, which placed first in all but two events, scored 532 points, Sheboygan North placed runner-up with 419.

DCU’s first-place individual finishers included Cassie Rankin of Sevastopol, Danica Neville of Southern Door and Julia Michalski Sturgeon Bay. Second-place finishers were Kailyn Neville of Southern Door, Caitlyn Hasenjager of Sevastopol and Izzy Jimenez-Seyfer of Sturgeon Bay. 

DCU won the 200-yard medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

The team will travel to Marinette High School for a Bay Conference matchup against the Marines on Thursday. On Saturday, DCU will compete for their third consecutive title at the Plymouth Invitational at Plymouth High School.
