DCVB Trains 1,000th Certified Tourism Ambassador

The Door County Visitor Bureau (DCVB) celebrated the certification of their 1,000th Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) this summer. Since 2009 the DCVB has facilitated the CTA program, designed to train tourism-related business employees that come in contact with Door County visitors. The multi-faceted program serves to increase regional tourism by enhancing the visitor experience and aims to drive visitor spending through in-depth knowledge of the destination and to ensure consistent delivery of a positive destination brand experience.

Yvonne Torres, membership manager at the DCVB, is the program coordinator and said, “We are thankful to our employers and CTAs for their commitment to Door County tourism and their role in it. It’s that level of dedication to the visitor experience that makes Door County the very best place to live and work.”

Three additional classes are scheduled for September, November and December of this year. To sign up or learn more about the CTA program, contact Torres at 920.818.1139 or [email protected].
