The Miller Art Museum announces a call for entries for the upcoming 38th Juried Annual Exhibit from Nov. 9 – Dec. 28. Both emerging and professional artists, 18-years-old and older, are invited to participate in this competition, juried by art professionals. Residents in Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Oconto counties are eligible and invited to participate.
Artists may submit up to two pieces in all 2-dimensional media using a CD or flash drive. The entry fee is $20 and must accompany the entry form. The postmark entry deadline is Sept. 26. Hand deliveries can be made at the museum office/Annex mail slot through Sept. 30.
Works must be original, completed within the last two years, not under the direction of a teacher in a class or workshop, and not previously exhibited in Door County. Works may or may not be for sale. Works may not be removed until the exhibit closes.
The jury panel will select three special merit awards and three honorable mention awards. The Gerhard CF Miller Award of Excellence, chosen by the museum staff, is given in memory of Gerhard, the museum’s founder.
The opening reception is scheduled for Nov. 9, 3 – 4:30 pm with the announcement of awards at 3:30 pm.
