Death’s Door BBQ Donates $6,000

Death’s Door BBQ is donating $2,000 to the Washington Island Foundation, which has matching funds available to grow the gift. This will provide a total of $4,000 for needed updates to the island’s Rec Center, such as HVAC improvements and new lockers. 

Death’s Door BBQ will also donate $2,000 to the Town of Washington, which has partnered with the organization for 10 years of competitions, allowing the use of the airport and its facilities for the event. 

Both the Washington Island Community Health Program and Door-Tran will receive $1,000 for their work to help residents lead healthy, safe lifestyles and have access to transportation off the island.
