Door County singer/songwriter Seth Raddatz announces the release of his debut single, “Embrace the Day,” on July 3.
According to Raddatz, “‘Embrace the Day’ encourages listeners to embrace every second of every day we have, wherever we are, with the people we have, the love and pain, the joy and sorrow, and try and find a way to make it shine. In the tumultuous times we live in, songs like this upbeat, folk/rock, ballad help us remember that all is not lost; there is hope for us all if we love and support each other.”
Born and raised in Door County, Raddatz grew up with a wealth of musical influences from his father, local folk musician Mark Raddatz, to local artists pat mAcdonald, Chris Alley, Matthew Fischer and others. Joining his father on stage from a young age, Raddatz picked up guitar like an old friend and is thrilled to be in the studio this year.
Recorded at Painted Recordings inside the Tambourine Collaboratory in Sturgeon Bay, “Embrace the Day” is only the beginning of a full album in the works for Raddatz, who can be found performing weekly in July and August at Mojo Rosa’s in Egg Harbor on Tuesday afternoons and at Sister Bay Bowl’s Alley Bar on Wednesday evenings.
The official digital release of “Embrace the Day” hits cyber-shelves July 3. It is available on CDBaby.com, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and YouTube. Fans can get a free download of the song before its release at SethRaddatz.com.
