Democratic Candidates Appear at Pie Party Fundraiser

Several Democratic candidates for state offices have been invited to speak to Door County residents when the Democratic Party of Door County (DPD) hosts the Third Annual “Pie Party” fundraiser Sunday, December 6 from 3 – 6 pm in the Bertschinger Community Center, 7860 Highway 42, Egg Harbor.

Attendees are asked to bring a luscious pie creation for an all-you-can-eat pie tasting extravaganza. There will be an additional admission charged at the door.

Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D., currently scheduled to attend, will give an insider update on the latest “doings” in Washington. Local Democratic candidates Monk Elmer for State Senate and Dick Skare for Assembly, will share their campaign progress and issues of importance to the county. Tony Zielinski, the Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, Mayor Tom Barrett, Democratic candidate for Governor and Scott Hassett, Democratic candidate for Attorney General have been invited as well.
