Kara O’Connor, director of government relations for the Wisconsin Farmers Union, will be at Algoma’s Hotel Stebbins on May 15, 7 pm, as part of the Kewaunee County Dialogue Series – free, nonpartisan events hosted by the Democratic Party of Kewaunee County. She will share details about the union’s efforts on issues that are important to area residents and especially family farmers.
“The sooner we can marshal the community and political will necessary to challenge entrenched special interests and embrace new solutions that enhance both farm profitability and soil and water quality, the sooner we will begin to restore vitality to our rural communities,” O’Connor said.
The Wisconsin Farmers Union represents thousands of farm families, including many in Kewaunee and Door counties. Learn more on the Democratic Party of Kewaunee County’s Facebook page.
