Desert Inspires Violinist Chafey-Hon

The arid landscape and wildlife of the desert wilderness will inspire an afternoon of live music by violinist Beth Chafey-Hon on Nov. 17 at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor. She has also created a complementary slide show featuring rock formations and wind-sculpted sand that stand in contrast to photos of verdant, vibrant Door County landscapes. A dance performance by students at Andria’s Dancin’ on the Door and some world percussion accompaniment will further enhance the experience.

The performance will include a slide show of rock formations. Submitted.

Proceeds will benefit the Kress Pavilion’s programming, and all attendees will receive a free copy of the Desert Song Cycle Album. A pre-concert mingle with refreshments will begin at 2 pm; the performance will follow at 2:30 pm.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. To learn more and buy tickets, visit
