Destroyers Announce Home Schedule

The Door County Destroyers have released their 2015 home game schedule as new members in the northern conference of the Mid-States Football League. All home games are played at the Baileys Harbor Rec Park.

On May 30, the Destroyers take on the Southern Lakes Blue Devils. This is the only home pre-season game for the Destroyers. The Southern Lakes Blue Devils are in the Iron Athlete Football League.

On June 20 the Door County Destroyers take on the Racine Raiders. “The Racine Raiders won the National Football Event National Championship game last year, so this will be a huge test for the Destroyers,” said Destroyers Assistant Coach Tony Stahl. “This will be the first meeting of these two teams and you’re not going to want to miss it.”

On July 11 the Destroyers face the Rock County Rage. “The Rage are 2013 and 2014 IFL Champions that also made the switch to the Mid-States Football League for this season,” Stahl said. “Another huge test that promises to be a great game to come watch. This will be the first meeting of these two teams.”

On July 18 the Destroyers meet the Sheboygan County Rebels. “This is the first match up between these two teams since the end of last season in the 2014 WSFL Championship game, where the Destroyers were victorious to become the WSFL 2014 champions,” Stahl said.

On Aug. 1, the Destroyers take on the Lincoln-Way Patriots. “This will be the third time these two teams have played but the first one where it really counts,” Stahl said. “They have played each other the last two seasons in pre-season games, with each team winning at home. The Patriots lost in the Mid-States Football League 2014 Championship game so with this being the second to last game in the regular season it promises to be a hard-hitting game that you will not want to miss.”
