Diane Foster Debuts at Chez Cheryl Art Space

“Taking the High Road” by Diane Foster.

Iowa artist Diane Foster will debut new work in an exhibition of acrylics, mixed media and encaustics at Chez Cheryl Art Space from August 6 – 11.

Foster uses art as a vehicle for understanding and interpreting the world. Her interests in nature, life experiences, travel, music, books, poetry, pondering the vastness of the universe and the Iowa farm environment, inform her artwork.

She received a BA in Art and Design from Iowa State University and taught at a high school in Jefferson, Iowa. She was recognized as the State Art Educator of the Year by the Iowa Art Education Association and now in retirement is a full-time artist and actively exhibits throughout the Midwest.

Foster was also the guest artist at Buena Vista College and the Yamanashi Prefectural Art Museum in Kofu, Japan.

A public reception will be held August 9 from 5:30 – 8 pm with refreshments and a brief talk at 6:30 pm. Hours for this exhibition are Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm daily.

Chez Cheryl Art Space is located at 8360 High Plateau Rd off EE west of Baileys Harbor. For more information call 920.421.1690.
