Dickinson Series Features Ellison Bay Poet

Hanne Gault will present her unique and inspiring poetry at the next Unitarian Universalist Fellowship-sponsored Dickinson Poetry series June 10.

Reflecting on her writing style Gault said, “When I read or hear poetry I am not thinking of the structure of the poem as much as I am of that indefinable something, be it beautiful, disturbing or humorous, that has moved or inspired me. It is that energy I try to convey.”

Her poems have been published in the Wisconsin Poet’s calendar, Peninsula Pulse and Free Verse. She also received third prize in the Chicago JoAnne Hirshfield poetry contest.

The Dickinson Poetry Series is held at 7 pm at the UUFDC, 10341 Hwy. 42, Ephraim. An open mic session will follow Gault’s reading. These poetry readings are free and open to the public. All poets and lovers of poetry are welcome. Next month’s featured poet is David Clowers on Tuesday, July 7.
