Discover 2013 Gardening Trends with the Door County Master Gardeners

The Door County Master Gardeners announce two more free 2013 Continuing Education Programs in February.

On Feb. 16 at 7 pm, “What’s Hot in 2013, Sunnypoint Garden’s 40th Year” will be presented. Members of the public are invited to come and discover the finest new gardening trends. Attendees will take a look at the new varieties for 2013 and see what’s “hot” this year from Kori Zawojski, co-owner of Sunnypoint Gardens & Gift Shop.

Zawojski will also take attendees for a stroll down memory lane as Sunnypoint Gardens celebrates 40 years. Last year’s program was standing room only, so guests should arrive early.

On Feb. 26, the Door County Master Gardeners present an update on The Community Garden of Sturgeon Bay. Located on 16th Place near Ministry Door County Medical Center, The Community Garden has made terrific progress since its founding. The public is invited to join the Master Gardeners for an update on the project and a look at its future.

Both programs are held at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay and begin at 7 pm. Crossroads is located at 2041 Michigan Street.
