Discover Southern Door’s Roadside Chapels

The Door County Historical Society is hosting a luncheon program March 25 that explores the roadside chapels of Southern Door.

Barbara Chisholm – a fifth-generation Belgian who grew up in the “suburbs” of Brussels and graduated from Southern Door High School in 1964 – will discuss the Belgian immigrants who settled in southern Door County and the culture and customs they brought with them.

The luncheon program, held at Schmitz Insurance, 7153 Hwy 42/57 in Sturgeon Bay, is $30 for the general public and $25 for Door County Historical Society members. Lunch, catered by Renard’s, will be served at 12 pm, with Chisholm’s program to follow.
