Bay Art Gallery will host a reception for Peter and Skye Ciesla on Nov. 15, 4 – 6 pm, in celebration of their new jewelry. The Cieslas will show their newest creations and unique interpretations of art and attire. Jewelry is art disguised as attire. A piece of jewelry is an amalgamation of an artist’s vision and the material from which it is born. Jewelry can be understood as a kind of installation art that is only fully realized once incorporated into the aesthetic of its wearer.
