DKBEP Ground-breaking Ceremony for Home Construction Project

The Door Kewaunee Business & Education Partnership (DKBEP) will host a ground-breaking ceremony to start the sixth annual DKBEP High School Home Construction Project. The ceremony is open to the public and will be held Sept. 17 at 4 pm, at 4970 Highway 57 in Valmy.

Participating students will be involved in all aspects of residential construction under the guidance of NWTC instructor, Roger Mayer and project advisors from Portside Builders, Alan and Mark Shefchik. Upon successful completion, each student earns 16 credits for advanced placement in the Wood Tech Technical Diploma program at NWTC.

Student Builders include: Steven Beno and Brandon Vanderlinden (Gibraltar); Adam Bagnall, Nicholas Cater and Noel Farber (Sevastopol); Josh Braun, Trevor Haack, Spencer Kraemer, Jordan Shefchik and Connor Wilz (Sturgeon Bay); Keagan Keddell and Trevor Marin (Southern Door).
