Do More in Door County When Liberty Square Reopens

The last of the snow has melted away, the daffodils and trillium are blooming in the gardens and forests, and Liberty Square’s restaurants and shops are about to reopen for business.

Liberty Square was closed this winter to renovate and expand its offerings and will give residents and visitors a lot more to do in Door County when it reopens Wednesday, May 5.

Stop by to see why The Bistro, The Shops, and The Gourmet Deli at Liberty Square are considered some of the best additions to the Door County scene in recent years. Liberty Square is even better in 2010, now offering an expanded variety of shopping and dining options sure to please everyone who walks through the doors in downtown Egg Harbor.

The Board Room

The Bistro Bar & Grille has expanded to offer more seating and dining options. It will open for breakfast at 7 am and serve till 8 pm, with hours extending until 10 pm starting Memorial Day weekend. Early bird specials and daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials will be offered daily. The Bistro Bar & Grille has built an excellent reputation by offering great variety and delicious, wholesome, affordable cuisine.

Open from 9 am until close, the new Bistro Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a latte, espresso, cocktail, beer, or glass of wine from an extensive drink menu. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Liberty Square.

Now is the time to call Liberty Square to plan your private party or catered event in the newly renovated Board Room. Stop in to see how the Board Room and the Katie Gingrass Gallery at Liberty Square have been transformed to create an elegant, private venue where you can dine surrounded by beautiful works of original art. The Board Room is well suited for large and small groups, and is available free of charge for all private dining events.

The newly renovated Katie Gingrass Gallery at Liberty Square will be hosting several art openings throughout 2010 and donating proceeds from these events to benefit local non-profit organizations such as the Peninsula School of Art, the Birch Creek Music Performance Center and the Door County Land Trust.

The Gourmet Deli at Liberty Square will be offering an expanded selection of grab-n-go deli items. Dine on the new Deli Deck at Liberty Square, or take your meal on a hike, on the boat, or to work. The Gourmet Deli continues to offer its incredible variety of domestic and imported wines and cheeses, and will host cheese tastings featuring some of Wisconsin’s finest cheesemakers during Liberty Square’s “Celebrate Wisconsin Cheese” series on weekends throughout 2010.

Starting Wednesday, May 5, The Shops at Liberty Square will be open from 10 am – 5 pm weekdays, and from 9 am – 6 pm weekends. Beginning Memorial Day shops open daily at 9 am – 8 pm weekdays and stay open till 9 pm on weekends. The Shops now feature an expanded selection of Door County gifts and clothing, and a new women’s apparel section full of unique pieces that will fit both your style and your budget.
