Documentary Highlights Roadside Chapels

Fr. Edward Looney, pastor of the Catholic communities in Brussels, Lincoln and Rosiere, has released his documentary, Faith along the Road, which captures the stories and history of the Belgian roadside chapels that are found throughout Door, Kewaunee and Brown counties. Looney was the director and host of the documentary, and Giuseppe Mignano produced it.

One of the earliest roadside chapels was built during the 1870s, and many were added during the decades that followed. Today, more than 30 such chapels dot the roadways of northeastern Wisconsin, and more are being built each year.See the documentary at youtu.be/BiJfscm8hpA.
