A book signing for the newly released Dogs of Door County will be held Sept. 1 at O’Meara’s Irish House. The event, benefiting the Door County Humane Society, takes place from 12 – 4 pm.

Author and photographer Hilary Dickinson will be on hand to sell and sign copies of Dogs of Door County, a 184-page hardcover book featuring 200 dogs photographed throughout Door County. The book retails for $24.99, with $5 from each book going to the Door County Humane Society.

The book signing will be part of a “Luck of the Irish” event, which includes the 14th birthday celebration of Seamus, a soft-coated Wheaten Terrier belonging to Megan O’Meara, the owner of O’Meara’s Irish House. The open house is from 10 am – 6 pm.

People are welcome to bring their leashed dogs; free dog and human treats will be available.
