Domicile Art Fair Returns to Sister Bay

The 24th Annual Art Fair at Domicile will be Aug. 3 and 4 in Sister Bay. The creativity and quality of Domicile’s Wisconsin artisans will be highlighted in the Domicile’s orchard. For entertainment, there will be live music by the Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors at 1 pm on Friday and a poetry reading on Saturday; Richard E. Carter will read selections from his book Inside and Out at 1 pm.

The public is invited to stroll the grounds and meet the artists displaying jewelry, stained glass, pottery, Door County drawings, wooden accessories, original carvings, rag rugs, handbags, wearable art and metal sculpture.

In the Domicile tradition, artists will demonstrate their techniques and craft during the fair. Ron Odegaard turns wood at the lathe. Pat Bishop crafts pendants from stained glass. Ralph Malec turns driftwood into Santas. Wire artist Ann Preston twists wire into a tree. Rick Harabes spins llama fiber into yarn on a spinning wheel. Door County potter John Hansen will also demonstrate techniques on the potter’s wheel each morning.

Domicile also welcomes special exhibitor, Joe Miller. Hailing from Baileys Harbor, Miller is an avid sports card collector. He welcomes guests to browse his collection of collectible sports cards.

The Art Fair will be open 10 am to 5 pm each day. Refreshments will be available on the grounds.
