Donation to Land Trust Extends Legacy Preserve

The donated Bogdanowicz property is adjacent to the Legacy Nature Preserve at Clay Banks. Submitted.

The Door County Land Trust (DCLT) recently accepted a land donation from the Bogdanowicz family that includes 150 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. Located in the Town of Clay Banks, this land is directly to the south of the DCLT’s Legacy Nature Preserve at Clay Banks, so it extends the preserve’s boundary. 

To complete the donation, DCLT will raise approximately $25,000 for the future care and management of the property. The funds will be reserved in its Stewardship Endowment Fund to create an annual disbursement to be used for the property’s ongoing care.
