Don’t Miss Escovedo and mAcdonald Double Bill

Two renowned songwriters will perform in a not-to-be-missed double bill at Fish Creek’s Door Community Auditorium July 8, 8 pm. 

A Mexican-American kid with Texas roots and a California upbringing, Dallas-based songwriter Alejandro Escovedo has bridged many genres in writing about death, demons, lust and lost love; reinvents himself constantly; and tours and records tirelessly. 

pat mAcdonald has an esteemed career and is a longtime local favorite.

Green Bay native pat mAcdonald was part of the Grammy-nominated duo Timbuk3, co-wrote with Cher in a castle in France, toured with Chris Whitley and wrote lyrics for Ryuichi Sakamoto before settling in Sturgeon Bay. Since then, he’s helped create Sturgeon Bay’s Steel Bridge Songfest, played in the duo Purgatory Hill and successfully battled stage 4 lymphoma. In 2019, he released a new solo album, The Ragged Jagged Way Back Home.
