Don’t Miss Virtual Door Kinetic Arts Festival

The Door Kinetic Arts Festival (DKAF) is going virtual this season, so gather around your screens for a celebration of art, collaboration and cocktails

Spoken-word poet and multimedia artist and creator Harold Green will make his second festival appearance, this time in a film of King in Continuum. It’s a vibrant, engaging performance that builds on what he developed at DKAF in 2019. Green’s timely, deeply poignant work makes poetry accessible to audiences from all backgrounds.

The annual DKAF film festival will include 15 short films, available at doorkinetic.com June 5-12. The selections are Montana, La Brouette, Two Little People, The Winter, Colorful Fears, Nice Guy, We Are an Island, Blank State, The Escape, Wooden Sword, The Farewell, The Human and Human, Rahmat Creel, Inhale and Wait a Moment

Patrons can also stock up on supplies to follow along with cocktail connoisseur Robert Simonson as he creates the perfect concoction to accompany this year’s film lineup. Taking to the screen himself, he’ll offer a drink tutorial for festival guests to master.

Festival founders Eric Simonson and Alan Kopischke will also interview select festival artists and welcome guests to tune in online for the behind-the-scenes scoop

All festival events will be available free at doorkinetic.com, but the DKAF team deeply appreciates any and all donations.
