Door Artisan Cheese to Host First Certified Tourism Ambassador Class of 2018

The first Door County Certified Tourism Ambassador class of 2018 is Jan. 24, 12:30 – 5 pm at Door Artisan Cheese in Egg Harbor. The Door County Certified Tourism Ambassador Program is a multifaceted program that serves to increase regional tourism by inspiring front-line employees and volunteers to turn each visitor encounter into a positive experience.

In order to become a Door County Certified Tourism Ambassador, an individual must complete the required pre-class reading, attend a half-day classroom session (either morning or afternoon) and complete an open book examination. Upon successful completion, the participants will earn the Certified Tourism Ambassador designation and receive a CTA certificate and lapel pin. The cost is $25 per person.

Other CTA classes scheduled for the year are Feb. 20, 8:30 am – 1 pm at Door County Maritime Museum; March 22, 12:30 – 5 pm, location TBA; April 25, 8:30 am – 1 pm, location TBA; May 22, 12:30 – 5 pm, location TBA; June 12, TBA; July 25, 8:30 am – 1 pm, location TBA; Sept. 20, 12:30 – 5 pm, location TBA; Nov. 28, 8:30 am – 1 pm at Door County Coffee & Tea; Dec. 13, 12:30 – 5 pm at The Clearing.
