Door Community Auditorium Performers Nominated for Grammy Awards

Several recent Door Community Auditorium (DCA) performers have been nominated for 2020 Grammy Awards.

One of Brandi Carlile’s collaborations, “Bring My Flowers Now,” is up for two awards: Song of the Year and Best Country Song. She was at the DCA in 2010 and 2012. Another collaboration, “Common,” by Carlile and Maren Morris, is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Yola – who performed at the DCA in July 2019 with Americana supergroup I’m with Her – is up for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Performance.

Also nominated in the Best American Roots Performance category is Rhiannon Giddens, who performed in 2013 with the Carolina Chocolate Drops and in July 2019 with I’m With Her.

I’m With Her is also up for a second nomination for Best American Roots Song, along with fellow nominees Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal, who were at DCA in 2019; Yola; and Vince Gill, who performed at DCA in 2013 with the Time Jumpers.
