Door Community Auditorium Presents Mojo Perry

One of the Midwest’s great guitar players, Mojo Perry will provide an evening of acoustic music as the second concert in the 2011 Fireside Coffeehouse Concert Series at the Door Community Auditorium. Mojo Perry will take the stage in the fireside lobby on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 7 pm.

A Wisconsin native, Mojo is a seasoned guitarist who began learning and honing his craft at age five, performing in taverns by age nine, and recording his music at age 16. By his 20s, Mojo was a session guitarist in Chicago often found backing up big names on the local blues circuit. His signature sound, dubbed the “Northern Sound,” is a blend of blues and psychedelic rock.

After a few years, Mojo landed a gig in the festival circuit, giving his unique music more exposure. He continues to record with his Wisconsin-based trio and perform nationwide. Mojo has even bridged into an avant-garde style of music with his groundbreaking techniques on the guitar.

Fireside Coffeehouse Concerts are held in the lobby of the Door Community Auditorium, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The series is sponsored by The Cordon Family Foundation. Ecology Sports Base Camp will provide refreshments for purchase. Tickets are sold as general admission at $14.
