Door Concerts Presents UWGB Faculty Ensemble

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay (UWGB) Faculty Ensemble will hold a sampler concert on March 28 at Prince of Peace Church in Sturgeon Bay; the concert begins at 7 pm.

The UWGB Faculty Ensemble members have such a wide range of capability, in so many different musical niches that their shows are more like a talent revue. At their upcoming Sturgeon Bay concert, you can expect to hear “musical compositions that span history from the 16th century to current Broadway pops,” says vocalist Sarah Meredith Livingston.

This ensemble of world-class performing artists are drawn from current UWGB music faculty and alumni that include: Abigail Mace, piano; Courtney Sherman, soprano; Sarah Meredith Livingston, mezzosoprano; Adam Gaines, trumpet; Eric Hansen, clarinet and Chris Salerno, jazz vocalist/piano. They will be joined by Algoma school teacher and UWGB alum David Robertson, baritone. Together, their individual interests and musical specialties permit them to provide audience members with a diverse sampling that ranges from classical and jazz to contemporary original works.

Immediately following the concert there will be a meet-the-artists informal talk and reception with refreshments in the meeting area of the hall. For more information about the concert visit DoorConcerts.com.
