The Door County 4-H Horse and Pony Project is hosting the Door County Open Show on July 23 at the new and improved horse arena at the Door County Fairgrounds at John Miles County Park. Registration begins at 8:30 am, and youth in third grade up to adults will show their horses in Western Pleasure and English classes in the morning and Gymkhana (speed) classes in the afternoon. Dan Grunewald from Helenville, Wis., will judge the competition. All horse riders are welcome.
You don’t have to have a horse to enjoy the show. Spectators are also welcome. Admission is free; bring a lawn chair and enjoy a day of watching horses and riders. A food booth will sell refreshments. For more information visit doorcounty4hhorseandpony.webs.com.
